Sweet Shoppe Designs offers daily challenges and one of those challenges is the FOBTY challenge.  This month it is to answer 5 quirky questions…so here are the questions with my answers:

1. Do you wash your own car or do you go to a car wash?  CAR WASH BABY

2. Are you wearing socks right now?  NOPE

3. Where were you 3 hours ago? WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY AT CHURCH

4. Do you have laundry waiting to be done? ALWAYS AND FOREVER

5. Can you pick objects up with your toes? MOST DEFINITELY!!

New challenges and new kit

Have you seen the May challenges that are now up at Paula Phillips Designs?  There are several to chose from including a scripture challenge, a font challenge, a color challenge and even an I DARE YOU challenge.  So, head over to Paula Phillips Designs now and check out the challenges.  They sure are fun!

National Scrapbooking Day at Faith Sisters

Here are some of the rules for the NSD weekend crop. Please note that we may add more as questions come up and details need to be clarified. If you have any questions please post them in the FAQ thread. Thanks.

Various challenges will be posted throughout the weekend. For each challenge you complete & post in the gallery by Sunday at midnight CST you will receive one ticket for the draw (excluding the speed scrap, you must complete that in the given time frame).
All paper and digital scrapbookers are welcome to participate.

We welcome newcomers.

To be eligible for the Digital Grand Prize the majority of the product on your layout needs to be from Faith-Sisters Digital Shop.
If you do not use FS products as the majority you will still qualify for all the other prizes ($25 digital coupons, $20 digital coupons, $10 digital coupons). One ticket per layout.

Faith Sisters designers and CT do not qualify for the prizes but are welcome to participate.
CT Members of Faith Sisters designers are welcome to participate, but in order to be fair to others, you must use FS product other then the person you design for to be eligible for the grand prize.

No double dipping! This means that you can only do one challenge per layout. You cannot combine two or more challenges, create one layout and get two points. There is a maximum of one point per layout.

Mothers, daughters, sisters, friends... The women in our lives mean to much to us. Show them your love with this purchase of Think Pink. Proceeds go towards the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to help treat, prevent and ultimately cure this disease.

Several designers and store owners have volunteered to help design a Breast Cancer Awareness themed scrap kit to help raise funds for this cause. As many of you know, I will be walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on April 4-5 but I cannot do it without your help. 100% of the sales from this kit will managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I’ll be just one of thousands of people that will walk up to a marathon and a half over a weekend, raising awareness of the cause and educating even more people.

Digital Scrapbooking Day

My Daughter Loves Cats

My dd, who is 5, is an animal fanatic.  Anytime we go to a store, she has to buy a new stuffed animal.  I bet she has over 200 right now…UGH!!!!!!  I hate it but she is in love with them and I can’t seem to tell her no :-)  Yes, my dh and I are softies.

She also owns a cat, a dog and 4 fish and she is begging for another fish, a bird and a hamster.  So far, we have been good about keeping her away from those thoughts. 

One day, she was at home playing with the cat and I took some really cute pictures of her.  She was having the best time with our cat, Tinkerbell (who is a boy but don’t tell him).  When I was ready to do a layout using the pictures, I found out that Paula Phillips had created the perfect kit for me to use.  I used her kit, Fancy Feline.  She hand drew a lot of the elements in this kit.  It is just beautiful. 

Here is the layout I created using this kit and of my daughter playing with Tinkerbell.  It is such a cute picture…I just couldn’t help it.

Then, I thought…I have the cutest pictures of my daughter at her dance performance and wondered if I could use this kit, designed for animals, with those pictures of my Dancing Queen.  So, here is what I came up with.

I was amazed at how versatile this kit is.  I had so much fun trying to use it with just regular photos.

Paula Phillips has done it again

I cannot believe it, but Paula Phillips has created another awesome kit.  The new kit is called Whimsical Romance.  I was so excited after I downloaded this kit and started working with it.  It has some awesome papers and some really amazing elements in it.  I love this kit.  Here is a preview of the kit and a couple of layouts I created with the kit.  I also combined Paula’s Creamy Cocoa Alphabet with the BFF layout.  I think it really sets off this kit beautifully.  So, head on over to Get Digi With It and check out Paula’s store and this awesome kit and alpha set.  And while you are there, go ahead and pick up a couple more of Paula’s kits.  I promise you, you will love them all!!!!

My first post

Well, here I am in happy blog land!  I finally have set up a little place for me to share all kinds of fun things with you.  I am excited and hope you all will enjoy reading my posts!!!
